Your documents stay yours.

Free High Quality PDF Tools opens only files you explicitly select or drop into its workspace. PDF and image processing happens in your browser, on your device. We do not collect, upload, sell, or share your files, document contents, filenames, browsing activity, or personal information.

What stays on your device

Selected files, working pages and undo history are held in the workspace tab's memory. Closing the tab or choosing Clear workspace releases them. Documents are not saved to extension storage.
Downloaded PDFs and ZIP files are saved by your browser to the location you choose or your configured download folder. Removing the extension does not delete downloaded files.
The extension saves one local setting: whether you have dismissed the first-use welcome. It does not use browser sync.

Permissions and connections

The storage permission remembers the welcome dismissal. The extension has no permission to read ordinary websites or your browsing history. It has no analytics, ads, trackers, remote code, account system, or automatic network requests. PDF previews use the browser's built-in PDF viewer.

If you choose a website, support, or optional donation link, that destination opens as an ordinary website and its own privacy policy applies. Files are not attached to those links. Opening links embedded in an imported PDF is also a separate navigation chosen by you.

Editing and export

Original files are not changed. Exports contain the page content you choose, which may itself contain personal information or document annotations. Review your document before sharing it. Source document-level author and title metadata are not copied; exported files use a generic product creator and the title you enter. This is a document utility, not a redaction or metadata sanitization tool.

Your control

Use Clear workspace to release current files and undo history, close the tab to discard work, or uninstall the extension to remove its local setting. You can keep all downloaded files. No payment is required for any feature.
