Tab Manager
Your browsing stays yours.

Privacy, in plain language.

Free High Quality Tab Manager by simulationstation organizes your website tabs into local workspaces and optional snapshots. All features are free. We do not collect your browsing data, use analytics, show ads, sell data, or require an account.

Your choice comes first

Until you choose Get started, the extension does not query tab addresses or titles, save sessions, or create automatic snapshot alarms. Automatic snapshots require a separate opt-in in the Snapshots section.

Data processed locally

Private/incognito windows are excluded before tab details are queried. Browser-internal pages, extension pages, non-HTTP/HTTPS addresses, and URLs containing embedded credentials are excluded. Session backups contain URLs and titles, which may themselves include private query parameters or document names. Page contents, form entries, cookies, login sessions, scroll positions, and browsing-history records are not captured.

No uploads

The extension does not send browsing data to the developer, fetch remote code, contact analytics services, or download remote resources. When you restore tabs, the browser visits the saved websites normally; those websites receive ordinary page requests under their own policies. Restoring a session does not restore authentication or unsaved work.

Permissions

Tabs enables the consented title/URL view, saving sessions, and explicitly requested tab restore/closure. Storage keeps local workspaces, snapshots, and preferences. Alarms runs optional periodic snapshots even when the manager page is closed; no snapshot alarm is scheduled before consent and opt-in.

Your controls

You choose which live tabs to save or close and which saved tabs to restore. Duplicate cleanup shows the proposed tab list and requires confirmation; pinned and active tabs are preserved and the list is checked again before closing. Disable automatic snapshots to stop future snapshots. Delete any workspace or snapshot in the library. Lowering retention removes older snapshots. Uninstalling removes extension storage; browser or operating-system backups may retain copies under your settings.

Import and export

Import reads only a JSON file you select. Valid imported sessions are added without replacing existing workspaces. It does not enable automatic snapshots or change consent. Only HTTP/HTTPS URLs without embedded credentials are accepted. Export writes your saved sessions to a local JSON file. Exported files remain until you delete them and can disclose your browsing context if you share them.

Optional links and limited use

About and donation links open external websites only when clicked; those sites receive ordinary browser requests under their own policies. No workspace or tab data is attached. Donating is never required. Local access is used solely for the disclosed tab-management features and follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. No data is sold or transferred for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending decisions.
