Video Controls privacy

Video controls run in your browser on pages where you enable them. We do not collect video information, browsing history, or playback activity.
Access to the current page
The activeTab and scripting permissions let the extension add controls to the current webpage when you use its toolbar action. It does not request ongoing access to every website or inject controls into unrelated tabs. After the first-use welcome, reopening the popup can read the state of controls you previously enabled on the current page.
The controller finds accessible HTML video elements in the page, open shadow roots, and same-origin frames. It reads dimensions, duration, playback position, and player capabilities to show controls, and changes speed, loop position, rotation, or picture-in-picture when requested. Cross-origin frames and browser-protected pages remain inaccessible. The extension does not record, download, or upload video or audio.
Local state
The storage permission saves only whether you acknowledged the welcome. It does not store visited addresses, video titles, media addresses, playback history, or account information. Speed changes, loop points, and rotation are held in the current page's memory. They are discarded when controls are removed or the page is closed or reloaded.
Remove controls stops the loop and restores the speed and transform that were present before the extension changed them, where the site has not changed those properties itself. It does not undo seeking or changes you made in the site's own player. Uninstalling clears the stored welcome choice; reload open webpages to remove any controller that was already injected.
Network and other websites
The extension makes no network requests and contains no remote code, analytics, ads, or trackers. The website you are watching continues to load media and may observe playback changes through its own player. Its normal network traffic and privacy practices are outside this extension.
Project, support, review, and donation links open only when you choose them. They are ordinary website visits; video information is not attached. See the website privacy policy.
No sale or collection
Every feature is free. The developer receives no browsing or media data from this extension. Browser API data is used only for the functions described here, consistent with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used for lending or credit decisions.
