Site Blocker is free software for managing your own website distractions.

Effective date: September 15, 2026. Better Extensions is a project maintained by simulationstation.

Free software and its license

Site Blocker is free to use and is supplied under the MIT license included with the extension package. That license permits using, copying, modifying, and distributing the software, subject to keeping the required copyright and license notices. These website terms do not replace or restrict the rights granted by that license.

There is no account, subscription, or paid upgrade for Site Blocker. A browser store may have its own terms for installing extensions.

A voluntary blocking tool

You choose the websites to block and can change the list, pause blocking, or uninstall the extension. Anyone who controls the browser can do the same. Site Blocker does not provide password locks, parental controls, device-wide filtering, or a security boundary.

Browser restrictions, permission settings, other extensions, and software changes can affect blocking. Protected browser pages cannot be blocked. Use the extension only in browser profiles and on devices where you are allowed to manage these settings.

No warranty

The MIT license supplies the software “as is,” without warranty of any kind, and includes limitations on the authors' and copyright holders' liability. Read the complete license in the extension package for those terms. Nothing on this website limits rights or remedies that cannot be limited under applicable law.

The website, downloads, compatibility, and support information may change. Continuous availability, blocking of every possible website, and a response to individual support requests are not guaranteed.

Privacy and external services

See the Site Blocker privacy policy for local extension data and the website privacy policy for visits to this website.

The Chrome Web Store, GitHub, Chrome, and Brave are separate products and services. Their own terms apply when you use them. Better Extensions does not claim affiliation with or endorsement by their operators.

Help and updates

The support page contains self-service setup, troubleshooting, and data-removal instructions. No contact form or email support channel is currently provided.

Changes to these website terms will be posted here with an updated effective date. Copies of Site Blocker remain governed by the license supplied with them.
