Free software and licenses

These terms cover the Better Extensions website and collection: the extensions listed in our catalog. Every extension’s full name begins with “Free High Quality”. There are no extension accounts, subscriptions, ads, watermarks, or paid feature gates.

Ad Blocker is distributed under GNU GPL version 3 or later. The other extensions use the MIT license. Each download includes its applicable license. Bundled third-party components carry their own license notices. Keep the applicable notices when copying or redistributing the software. These website terms do not replace or restrict the rights granted by those licenses. Browser stores have separate installation terms.

Use and practical limits

Use the tools only on devices, pages, and content you are allowed to access or manage. You choose what to block, capture, record, annotate, type, store, import, or export. Review exported content before sharing it and respect other people’s privacy and rights.

Browser permissions, protected pages or media, operating-system settings, hardware, memory, storage space, and software changes can affect behavior. Product pages explain the relevant formats and limits. No feature requires payment. Product-specific limits are documented on each product page.

Site Blocker is voluntary: anyone controlling the browser can pause or remove it. It is not a parental-control system or security boundary. Local recordings and other saved data are not a guaranteed backup; export or download content you need to keep. Website availability and uninterrupted storage or operation are not guaranteed.

Optional donations

Donations are not set up yet. The page is a placeholder and accepts no payments. A future donation would be voluntary and would never unlock features, remove usage limits, or change how extension data is handled. You never owe the project anything for using these tools.

No warranty

The applicable software licenses provide the software “as is” and describe warranty exclusions and liability limits. Read the license files included in each package. Nothing in these website terms limits rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow to be limited.

Privacy, stores, and support

Read the website privacy policy and the product privacy policy for the tool you use. Local extension operations are separate from ordinary requests you make to this website, email providers, or a browser store.

Chrome, Brave, Chrome Web Store, GitHub, and their operators are separate from Better Extensions. No affiliation or endorsement is claimed. A store submission is not approval or publication; each product page reports its actual known release status.

The support page provides setup and troubleshooting guidance. Project questions can be emailed to tokens@betterextensions.org; individual replies are not guaranteed. Avoid sending sensitive files or personal browsing data.

Changes to these website terms will be posted here with an updated effective date. Downloaded software remains governed by its supplied license.
