What it does

  • Use the browser eyedropper or enter a HEX color.
  • Copy HEX, RGB, and HSL with explicit Copy buttons.
  • Save named palettes and export JSON backups or CSS variables.
  • Check a color pair against WCAG AA and AAA text thresholds.

How to use it

  1. Open the color tool and choose Pick from screen, or enter a HEX color.
  2. Create a palette and save the colors you want to keep.
  3. Copy a format, export your palette, or compare foreground and background colors.

Installation

Install in Chrome or Brave

ZIP downloads use the browser’s Developer mode.

  1. Download the ZIP and extract it into a folder you will keep.
  2. Enter chrome://extensions or brave://extensions in the address bar.
  3. Turn on Developer mode, select Load unpacked, and choose the folder containing manifest.json.
  4. Pin the extension from the toolbar menu, open it, and read the first-use welcome.

Keep the folder in place. To update, replace its files with the new version and select Reload on the browser’s extensions page.
